Northside 4x4 Club

About the Club . . .

Northside 4WD Club has a lot to offer the four-wheel drive enthusiast and family. We are a family orientated and adventurous club based in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. We endeavour to cater for the needs of all members, from wildflower weekends, social outings, good fun ladies' days and bush camping, to the more demanding and challenging trips away for those members looking for an opportunity to test themselves and their vehicle.

Sandy beaches, muddy bush tracks and some testing rocky trails in the hills, woven in with fossicking, tracking history, keeping in mind protecting the environment.

Night navigation competitions are very popular, plus, throughout the year we have many social occasions such as progressive dinners, ten pin bowling and fishing trips.

We hold club competitions such as gymkhanas and rallies, and we are always looking for new and innovative outings.

The Club is a member of the WA Four Wheel Drive Association and is involved with issues that can affect four wheel driving in Western Australia. We believe that conservation and use of land can go hand in hand and that the closure of areas to the public and subsequent illegal use of four wheel drives in these areas are unnecessary. To this end we campaign through the WA Four wheel Drive Association to keep our traditional tracks open.

Our membership consists of all ages, including a cross section of professionals and tradespeople working together to create an enthusiastic, modern, lively and active club that welcomes visitors to all Club trips and meetings.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. Do I have to have experience?
A. Absolutely not, everyone starts as a novice. There are always experienced members on trips who
are only too happy to share their knowledge with you.

Q. What do I need to come along on a trip?
A. Visitors are required to have stress rated recovery point’s front and rear, a shovel, rubbish bag
and their own personal medical requirements. If you do not have any of the above equipment,
feel free to ask for help or perhaps come along as a passenger in another member’s vehicle.

Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. Due to the fact that we occasionally travel through National Parks or on land where domestic
pets are banned. We have a standard rule that no pets are allowed on Club trips.
